Helping to feed the homeless in Toronto.

Aaron Lewin founder of Lewin's LoveHomelessness has become a very big issue in our city. It has affected all communities around the city, there are more homeless families on the streets than ever before.

One talented young man has decided to start his own organization, ‘Lewin’s Love” and do what he can to feed and clothe the homeless in Toronto. Aaron Lewin is one of Toronto’s rising stars, he has had many sold out comedy shows and is on the verge of breaking into stardom.

Mr Lewinn as he calls himself organized a clothing drive asking all members of the community to donate winter gear, blankets, toys, clothes and non perishable food. An attempt was made to obtain a permit to use Dundas Square as a donation center for a few hours but nobody from the city responded. Mr Lewinn did not let that deter him, the clothing drive went on as planned adjacent to Dundas Square.

The donations poured in throughout the afternoon.

The community responded and donations poured in throughout the afternoon. People from all walks of life donated blankets, clothing, non-perishable foods, toys and shoes. Some of the items were new and included toiletries and pillows.

We responded to the call and decided to make chicken soup.

We’ve known Aaron for a while now, he’s a friend of our oldest son. We were more than happy to help the cause. Nino dusted off his soup pot and decided to make some hardy chicken noodle soup.

It was a blustery day in downtown Toronto but the event was a success. All the items that were left were dropped off at various shelters in the downtown core

This was a wonderful experience

This was the third annual Charity Clothing Drive by Mr Lewinn. We had a humbling day and it felt great to help.
